It is my pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the college community to our website.
Monbulk College provides educational pathways for students from Year 7 to Year 12 and offers the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs and the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) to ensure it meets individual student’s career directions.
The college was established in 1963 and is a single campus, co-educational college located in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges. The college has a strong co-curricula program which includes opportunities for students to travel overseas to our sister schools in Japan and Germany, host students from sister schools, go on a World Challenge Expedition, become involved in surf-lifesaving, study Instrumental Music, engage in inter-school sport, join our volleyball program or be part of our biennial college production.
Our college values are central to all that happens at the college for all members of the school community.
Excellence – Respect – Responsibility
The college comprises of two sub schools. A Junior School (Years 7-9) where the focus is on a core curriculum which builds skills and students are encouraged to try everything, and a Senior School (Years 10-12) where students are given choice to pursue their passions and study the relevant subjects for their future studies, whether at University, TAFE or in an apprenticeship.
The college currently has a $10 million grant to build a new library and administration wing in Stage 1 along with 7 new classrooms and a well-being centre in Stage 2. The construction of Stage 1 began in January 2018 and it is expected that Stage 2 will occur in 2019.
As you look through our website I hope that you will be challenged and excited and will want to be part of our community. I would encourage you to take up our offer to tour the college and discover the opportunities the college can offer to your child.
