Monbulk College’s students enjoy eight hectares of grounds including a large oval, a range of recreation areas, several shaded ‘sails’ areas and lovely garden setting that include sculpture and art work created by students.

In 2018, the college has started a new building program which will see the development of a new Library, Administration and classrooms wing. This building program will continue into the development of new classroom areas, including a Student Wellbeing Centre, functional and engaging, modern learning spaces. The college also has a 240 seat theatre, a music complex, and a large sports centre containing two full size basketball courts and a free standing canteen with a verandah overlooking the bush-land sanctuary area.

Monbulk College has integrated technology within the learning program and has a 1-to-1 BOYD program, with students using laptop and notebook devices. The college actively engages technology for learning including access to video conferencing equipment, Data Projectors and Smart Boards around the college, as well as a Mac computer lab for Photo media. Creative & Digital Media is offered as a VET course for VCE students; and School Based Apprenticeships are part of the VCAL program which complements the strong academic basis of the college.

Teaching & Learning

It is with much pleasure and excitement I announce the appointment of Mark Quinlan to the Principal Role at Monbulk College.

A selection panel of 5 people made up of School, Parent and Department representatives have recently been through the rigorous but exciting process of interviewing, shortlisting and selecting a new Principal to lead our school into the future. We had a very strong field of candidates to choose from which made this process both challenging but extremely rewarding with some absolutely brilliant presentations from said candidates.

Mark’s extensive experience and educational vision shone through, both reinforcing and upholding the values of Monbulk College, making him the standout candidate. Mark has officially taken the reins at the end of January 2022.
