Monbulk College, established in 1963, is a co-educational college.

The College promotes personal excellence in a caring environment, facilitated by its medium size of around 500-600 students. A long standing reputation for excellent VCE results is well founded. In the past three years our students have received VCE Premiers Awards in Art, VET Multimedia, Studio Arts, Equine Studies and Excellence Awards from VCAA for our VCAL Program. The college has a strong emphasis on recognising and celebrating students’ achievements.

A large range of enrichment and enhancement programs are available to students within and outside the classroom: in areas cultural and artistic, sporting and leisure, and in competitions such as the Australian Mathematics Competition and ICAS, the International Competition and Assessment for Schools in which one of our students received a medal for the top score in Computer Skills in his year level in 2011. Sister school relationships with Japanese and German schools provide opportunities to host visitors and to travel to Japan and Germany and our renowned Volleyball program has extensive participation by students across all year levels.

The College has a strong focus on Science, Technology and The Arts with a new Science Centre opening in 2012 and a reputation for excellence in Creative Arts within the Dandenong Ranges and statewide in exhibitions such as VCE Top Arts. There are many opportunities for student leadership with College; House and Technology captains, club leaders, Peer Support Leaders, cross age sports coaching and a strong Student Representative Council.
